Easter Ideas

I've been trying to think of some easy Easter crafts/activities to do w/ the Bean this season, and I'm having a hard time coming up w/ anything meaningful besides the Empty Tomb Cookies. I've also heard of the Resurrection Eggs, but I don't have any of those yet. I want to teach her about the resurrection, obviously...anybody have any ideas? Wooing My Flock, Blue Hutch...I'm counting on you two especially!!!

You can buy the resurrection eggs, which might be easiest, but you can also make your own. I used to do this with my K class. It can be labor intensive with all the different eggs, but if you did it with a group, and had everyone pitch in, it might work. Let me know if you're interested and I can scan/email you the details...baugher3@gmail.com
Also, have you heard of the book, Eyewitness Animals-The Story of Easter, by Robin Currie? It might be a little too much for her age, but I'd thought of trying it with Arden this year. It's broken up into sections and introduces animals that tell the story of Jesus' final week.

I think the Resurrection Eggs are some of the best money you'll ever spend. We have been using them for 3 years and my kids love them. We also have the patty cake Eggstravaganza DVD and the book w/ the words to her songs- I think they are perfect for AC's age. Abby still loves them!

we did the Tomb cookies for a while, which is a neat process to go through, but the cookies didn't always turn out hollow so that was a little confusing...so it's the Resurrection Eggs for us this year!
